How we're built
Small, narrow, and honest about both
CRADAL was founded in April 2025. We work with construction and building companies across South East Queensland, and that is the whole list.
What this is built on
Craig has spent about twenty years across construction and IT operations, on both sides of the fence: scaffolding, estimating, civil, plumbing and fencing, then fifteen years running service desks and operations inside managed service providers. CRADAL is what happens when you take the operational discipline construction already has and point it at IT.
How the work gets done
There are nine of us today. That will change as we grow, and as you do.
A core team who know your business day to day, and a bench of specialists who come in for the work that needs them. A network cutover, a migration, an incident, a security uplift.
That is how you resource a job, not how you staff an office. It is also why a 40-person builder can get senior capability on the work that warrants it without paying to keep that person sitting on a bench the rest of the year.
What you can check
Ask us who is working on your account and what they are working on. You will get names and you will get them the same day.
Ask us who owns a specific system in your environment. Same answer, and it is in the list we maintain for you.
Ask us who to call when something is broken at 6:30 on a Tuesday morning. There is one answer and it is written down in your onboarding pack, not held in someone's head.
Every job has a name against it. It is the same test we ask you to apply to any subcontractor, and the same one we use on your systems.
The limitation, said plainly
We are small and we are new. That is a real constraint and there is no version of this where it is not.
It means we are selective about who we take on, because we would rather turn work away than take it and do it badly. It means we do not have a 200-seat operations centre. It means our track record is short, and you are entitled to weigh that.
It also means the person who scoped your work is the person accountable for it, you are not the smallest client on someone's list, and nobody here needs three internal approvals to make a decision about your business.
Those two things are the same fact. We are not going to sell you one and hide the other.
What we will not pretend
We are not a national provider. We are not an every-industry provider. We are not going to tell you we have a capability we do not have and then work it out on your job.
If you ask us for something outside what we do well, we will tell you, and where we can we will tell you who does it properly.
What we hire for
Hiring is how the company stays useful. We look for people who share our values and can do the work for construction clients.
- • Technical skills and relevant experience
- • Alignment with our values and how we work with clients
- • Willingness to learn the construction context, not only the tools
How we grow
We'd rather have fewer, happier clients than many unsatisfied ones. Growth is driven by referrals and by keeping existing clients, not by signing faster than we can serve.
- • Keep existing clients by doing the work we are paid to do, and offer additional services only when they need them
- • Ask satisfied clients to refer new business through our referral program
- • Work with complementary providers when that expands what we can offer without pretending we do everything alone
- • Grow at a pace that keeps service quality and team wellbeing intact
